New Architecture Institute

The design for a new architecture institute is inspired by Adolf Loos's Raumplan and Le Corbusier's Plan Libre: every function is given its own character and atmosphere, with a different structure and materiality for each space.

The central theme is form and counter-form — open and closed spaces, contrasting colours and materials within a single coherent harmony. Overlapping spaces and a large central atrium keep the building, for all that richness, entirely legible.
